We are seeking a highly skilled and business-savvy Data Analytics Consultant. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data visualization, user experience, and strategic consulting. The ideal candidate will not only be a top-tier Power BI developer but also a trusted advisor who can translate business needs into impactful data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced Power BI reports and dashboards with a strong focus on user experience and business relevance.
- Act as a bridge between business and IT, translating business requirements into technical specifications and data models.
- Utilize Power BI Embedded capacity to deliver scalable and integrated reporting solutions.
- Understand and communicate limitations of Power BI, including licensing, performance, and architectural constraints.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure seamless data pipeline integration from source to visualization.
- Present solutions to internal and external stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
- Contribute to financial reporting and data analysis initiatives, leveraging domain knowledge in finance.
- Support CI/CD practices, DevOps workflows, and infrastructure understanding using tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
- Serve as a consultant, not just a developer—proactively advising on best practices, optimization, and business impact.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and advanced visualization techniques.
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest Power BI features and roadmap.
- Experience with Power BI Embedded, licensing models, and integration strategies.
- Strong understanding of data pipelines, from ingestion to lakehouse/warehouse to front-end reporting.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfortable in customer-facing roles.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Background in business analysis and financial data analysis is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and cloud architecture (preferably Azure), including tools such as Azure DevOps and Git.
- Consulting mindset: proactive, strategic, and business-impact oriented.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with Power BI external tools such as Tableau, DAX Studio, Measure Killer, and Bravo Tool.
- Strong skills in report optimization, including performance tuning and rendering efficiency.
- Ability to balance best practices with practical trade-offs to ensure optimal user experience and responsiveness.
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience with tools like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Python.
- Prior experience in BI service delivery or engagement management.
